Implementation Plan

Climb Marketing is committed to supporting the communities where our employees live and work. As we thrive, we want to be sure that a portion of that good fortune flows back into the communities that have sustained us. To support this notion, and in accordance with several of our Core Values, Climb Marketing engages in a variety of corporate giving activities, including our innovative employee-led Charitable Giving Program. Each year, we commit to donating one-third of our net profits in accordance with the following implementation plan.

Annual Donation Amount and Distribution Process

Climb Marketing is committed to donating ⅓ of our net profit annually to employee-selected and company-approved non-profit organizations. Climb Marketing’s President will determine this dollar amount at the beginning of each year, based on the profit generated the year prior. This number will be determined once the books have been closed and reconciled for the previous year and annual profit may be accurately determined, no later than January 31st.

The dollar amount of contributions that each of our team members may designate is a function of their proportional share of the total number of hours worked in the year, following this formula, rounded to the nearest $500:

Employee Contribution Amount = (Total Work Hours Logged for the Year by Each Employee/Total Work Hours Logged for the Year across the Entire Company) x Total Amount of Charitable Donations to Be Disbursed

To simplify the administration of the charitable donation program, each individual donation shall be at least $500 (thus rounding to the nearest $500).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration under our Charitable Giving Program, an organization must meet the following criteria:

  • Nonprofit organization;
  • Operating within the USA;
  • Recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization whose purpose is charitable;
  • Donations are tax-deductible

Exclusions

It is Climb’s policy not to do business with specific types of industries and businesses. In accordance with these policies, Climb’s Charitable Giving Program will not apply to:

  • Organizations whose programs discriminate based on race/ethnicity, color, national origin, ancestry, sex/gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, marital/parental status, pregnancy/childbirth or related conditions, religion, creed, age, disability, genetic information, military service/veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law;
  • Organizations that cause social or environmental harm;
  • Political groups or campaigns;
  • Religiously-affiliated organizations;
  • Individuals;
  • Capital campaigns.

Notwithstanding the above, Climb Marketing’s President and/or Leadership Team reserve the right to approve or deny any petition for charitable giving.

Nomination and Disbursement Process

Once the total amount of charitable contributions to be made for the year are known, Climb Marketing team members shall nominate the organizations (and corresponding donation amounts) to which they wish to dedicate their share of the company’s annual contributions. Nominations for organizations to receive charitable donations will be accepted until February 14th of each year, and will be approved or rejected by the President and/or Leadership Team within 14 days, by February 28th. Once the final list of charitable contributions is determined, they will be made no later than March 31st.

Performance to Date

Climb Marketing has maintained its charitable giving program since 2019. Below is a summary of our charitable giving to date:

  • 2019: $4,000.00
  • 2020: $12,000.00
  • 2021: $20,000.00

As we work through 2022, our hope is to continue to grow our charitable donations. Thank you for your support in advancing our mission to elevate our clients, colleagues, and communities!
